| • | Aughton is a village and civil parish in the West Lancashire district of Lancashire, England, between Ormskirk in Lancashire and Maghull in Merseyside. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 8,342. The parish includes Aughton village itself, and part of the Aughton Park estate, which is a southern suburb of Ormskirk, along with Town Green.
The parish has two railway stations - Town Green railway station and Aughton Park railway station, both served by Merseyrail.
