Lens is a small, picturesque village in the Swiss canton of Valais, near to Crans-Montana. It is perched on the saddle of a hill which projects out in to the valley. The adjacent hill is topped by a bronze statue of Christ, some 28 metres in height. Source: [wikipedia: lens, valais]
