| • | Victoria is a county in Trinidad and Tobago. It covers 813 km2 (314 mi2) and is divided into five wards. It is bordered on the north by the county of Caroni, the south by the county of Saint Patrick, and in the east by the counties of Mayaro and Nariva. To the east it borders the Gulf of Paria. The major towns in County Victoria include San Fernando, Princes Town and Debe.
Prior to 1990 local government was administered by the Victoria County Council and the San Fernando City Corporation (San Fernando Borough Council until 1988). After 1990, areas formerly administered by the Victoria County Council were divided between the Princes Town Regional Corporation, Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo Regional Corporation and the Penal-Debe Regional Corporation.
The county of Victoria was named in honour of Queen Victoria.
