| • | Fort Santo Domingo was built by the Spanish in 1629 at Tamsui in the northwestern coast of Taiwan. The compound is known today as Hong-Mao Cheng (紅毛城; POJ: âng-mn̂g-siâࢁ&#-133; literally, the Fortress of the Red-haired Barbarians). Located at Tamsui, Taipei County, Taiwan.
