| • | Adogawa (安曇川町; -cho) was a town located in the former Takashima District, Shiga, Japan. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 14,245 and a density of 293.89 persons per km². The total area was 48.47 km². The town was dissolved upon the formation of a new city on Jan. 1, 2005 called Takashima with the merging of Adogawa, Imazu, Kutsuki, Makino, Shinasahi, and Takashima towns.
