Difino
| • | Fairlie is a small village within the administrative region of North Ayrshire, Scotland. Fairlie sits on the shores of the Firth of Clyde and looks across to the Isle of Cumbrae. The Fife Yachts were built in Fairlie in the first half of the 20th Century and their maker, William Fife, was born and brought up in the village. In recent years a succession of industrial developments have stripped the village of its charm. A nuclear power station, deep sea shipping terminal and a NATO Base (housing a net to close the upper firth to submarines in the event of invasion!) have all been built along the shoreline.
