He has been one of the leading personalities in professional wrestling since the mid 1970s and is considered to be among the elite names in the history of the industry. His total number of world title reigns is debated, with some arguing that he has had as many as twenty one world title reigns, while others only recognize sixteen. His entrance music is the "Dawn" section of Richard Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra.
