| • | 'Thomas, Percy and the Coal' is a story featured in the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends TV Series.
Storyline: Thomas and Percy are busy working in the yards on the Island of Sodor. That morning, Thomas boasted to Percy and Toby about his paintwork, and now was resting in a siding near the coaling plant. Percy then arrived to collect some coal, but his trucks pushed out of the way of the chute, and the coal poured down, all over Thomas. Thomas was filthy and furious, but Percy just laughed. Later, Toby has to pull Annie and Clarabel because Thomas had to get cleaned. That afternoon, when Thomas is clean again, he sees an exhausted Percy puff into the station with a heavy train. He goes to get a drink from a water tower in a siding, but he couldn't stop in time, and crashed through the buffers and into a large coal pit. He gets filthy, and Thomas laughs and puffs away. That evening, both engine apologise, and agree they must take care around coal!
