Atikokan (2001 population 3,632) is a township in Rainy River District in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. The Canoe Capitol of Canada. A small town in Northern Ontario, with a coal power plant about 20KM outside of town. Many people are employed at one of the two wood mills, Fibratech or Sapawe.
