| • | Kamo (加茂市; -shi) is a city located in Niigata, Japan, roughly halfway between the two larger cities of Nagaoka and Niigata City. As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 32,422 and the density of 242.55 persons per km². The total area is 133.67 km². It was founded on March 10, 1954. Kamo is particularly well known for Kamoyama Park, which is home to the Omi Shrine and many other sights, including a petting area for small squirrels which the town has regularly imported.
