| • | Mount Charleston is a census-designated place located in Clark County, Nevada. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 285.
Named for Mount Charleston, the highest point in the area, the town is in a valley of the Spring Mountains to the northwest of Las Vegas, noted for its hiking trails, and for the Mount Charleston Lodge, a rustic hotel. Temperatures are from 20 to 30 degrees (F.) lower than in Las Vegas, making it a popular place for Las Vegans to go to escape the heat.
