| • | Abington is a town located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Boston. In the past, the manufacture of boots and shoes was its primary industry. In 1890, 4,260 people lived here; in 1900, 4,489; in 1910, 5,455, and in 1940, 5,708. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 14,605.
