| • | Castor is a village located in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 209. It was established in 1900.
On April 23, 2000, the town of Castor was hit by a tornado with a ½-mile-wide path in the late evening, which caused massive damage. Notably there were no injuries; however, the infrastructure damage caused by the tornado and the heavy rains following caused many business and public buildings to be closed for an extended period.
