| • | Sir Thomas Miller (1717 - 1789), Lord Glenlee, was a Scottish politician and judge. Educated at Glasgow University, he became an advocate in 1742 and was solicitor of the Excise in Scotland from 1755. He was appointed Solicitor General for Scotland in 1759, and promoted to Lord Advocate in 1760. He was Member of Parliament for Dumfries from 1761 to 1766, and Lord Rector of Glasgow University from 1762. He was raised to the bench and appointed Lord Justice Clerk in 1766, taking the judicial title Lord Glenlee. He became Lord President of the Court of Session in 1788, and was created baronet in 1789.
