Torksey is a small town in Lincolnshire on the eastern bank of the River Trent. (There is not a bridge over the river at Torksey).There is a 16th century castle located in the town centre; but it is not open to the public.The town had a population of 2342 in the 2001 Census.The Roman canal, the Foss Dyke, joins the River Trent here via a series of lock-gates.
