The Ministry was established as part of the administrative reforms of January 6, 2001, which merged the Ministry of Transport (ੁ&#-3288;&#-200;ড়&#-4119;, the Ministry of Construction (ॻ&#-280;&#-1491;ড়&#-4119;, and the National Land Agency (ज़&#-91;&#-2273;ॺ&#-4119;, to form the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
