| • | The community of Reo is the newest "town" in Spencer County, Indiana, USA; its name, bestowed upon the community in 1966, is spelled by some in all capital letters, and stands for the destinations of its highways (Indiana 66 and 161):
Rockport, the county seat of Spencer County, is three miles east of Reo.
Evansville, southwestern Indiana's largest city, is 28 miles west of Reo.
Owensboro, Kentucky's third-largest city, is nine miles south of Reo.
Reo is home to several subdivisions, a bank, two schools, a popular five-screen drive-in movie theater (the Holiday Drive-In), a gas station/Wendy's restaurant and four automobile dealerships, along with a number of other businesses.
As it is an unincorporated town, census figures are not available, but several hundred people reside there.
