Sceaux is famous for its huge park (Parc Départemental de Sceaux), designed by André Le Nôtre, measuring 2 km², as well as its castle, edified by Duc de Trévise, son of Maréchal Mortier, under the Second Empire.
It hosts the faculties of Law and Management of University of Paris-XI (Orsay).
