| • | West Buckland is a small village located around 8 miles SE of Barnstaple in North Devon, UK. Reached by most from a winding, steep hill that leaves the North Devon Link Road, the village is perhaps most renowned for West Buckland School, educators of amongst others, British world record triple-jumper Jonathan Edwards. Despite the name, the school is in fact located around a mile outside the village and it is the small church which draws most visitors from the local area. The village is served by a small Post Office along with an ageing village hall.
