| • | In an unpredecented move, the Land Transport Authority conducted a public consulation exercise over the internet as well as via survey forms to gather public feedback on the naming of stations on the first three stages of the Circle MRT Line. The survey period was open from 26 March to 9 May 2004, and received 482 responses. As part of the consultation process, the Land Transport Authority made one or more suggestions for each station, but also allows for the public to nominate additional naming suggestions.
On 6 July 2005, the LTA announced the results for the first consultation period, as well as launching the public consultation process for stages four and five of the MRT line. Finalised names for stages four and five were released on 7 November 2005.
