| • | Apple Valley is a town located in the Victor Valley of San Bernardino County, California, incorporated on November 14, 1988. As of the 2000 census, the town has a total population of 54,239. As of 2005 the California Department of Finance estimates the population to be 63,853. The town is 10 miles east of neighboring Victorville, 37 miles south of Barstow and 46 miles north of San Bernardino through the Cajon Pass. Apple Valley is governed by a town council, whose mayor as of 2005 is Scott Nassif. The city of Apple Valley, Minnesota is named for Apple Valley, California. Apple Valley was home to Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, whose museum was first established in Apple Valley (in 1967) before the museum was relocated to Victorville in 1976.
